About Us
Who We Are
We are a nonprofit (501(C)(3) organization created in 1940 to represent and advocate on behalf of Catholic hospitals in Texas. We now serve 38 Catholic hospitals, along with their related clinics, health programs and associated services. Among them are seven health systems. Members range from major urban medical centers to smaller hospitals that serve rural communities. We support their mission through collaboration, advocacy, involvement, education, and inspiration.
Catholic health care is an extension of the healing mission of Jesus Christ. It is dedicated to caring for the whole person - body, mind and spirit. We are deeply rooted in the historic commitment of the Catholic Church to building strong communities supported by compassion and justice for all, and to the ideal that everyone in Texas deserves quality, affordable, and accessible health care.
